When I was in Middle School, I was looking for a way to play the old super mario games, specifically the title "Super Mario World". I went to look on the internet and found something that intregued me. I saw that there was something called a ROM. A ROM is when someone strips the code from a game that was on a console and copied it into an emulator. I was very interested in this. How could people take code from a game that was on a console? So I started to look into this. A few weeks later I forgot about the whole concept. Then one of my brothers joined UCI and began to major in something called computer science. I then remembered that I did a camp in fifth grade about this, and with some encouragement from my brother, I started to play around with python. Soon, my brother began to try teach me C++ and I am now in a computer science class. I now want to turn my passion for computer science into a career. I think computer science would be a perfect fit for me. Computer science also has a very good pay. Right after getting an Associate's degree in computer science, the jobs that can accept you can pay up to $90,000. If you go all the way to getting a doctorate's degree, the jobs that are most likely to accept you could give you the lowest amount, which is $110,000! That is crazy! If someone just got out of college and gets a job with his degree, he could get up to $110,000 right out of college! This would be a crazy job to have. |
